West Frankfort police arrest 7 accused of prostitution | News
WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS)- West Frankfort police have arrested seven adults accused of prostitution after an undercover operation.
Police say they arrested the following seven adults for prostitution:
April E. Snowden, 27, from Benton, Illinois; Donald V. Snowden, from Murphysboro, Illinois; Dianne E. Behrens, 28, from Carbondale, Illinois; Shareece L. Frye, 22, from Salem, Illinois; Thomas L. Mapp, 22, from Springfield, Illinois; Morgan M. Jones, 27, from Carrier Mills, Illinois; Amanda D.J. Rathert, 23, from Carbondale, Illinois.
Chief Jeff Tharp says West Frankfort police got information that a website was offering parts of their site for female escorts that were actually prostitutes.
Police say West Frankfort was in the service area of these prostitutes and the adults were conducting unlawful acts.
Tharp says on September 11, undercover police contacted the prostitutes.
He says the adults came to West Frankfort and solicited sex acts in exchange for money.
Tharp says of the prostitutes were accompanied by others for protection or oversight.
