Man arrested after woman found with burns over most of body

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS)- West Frankfort police arrested a man after finding a woman who had been on fire.

Police received a report of woman on fire at 106 W. 4th at 3:40 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Tesa J. Leech-Akin from McLeansboro in the backyard with burns over most of her body. Leech-Akin has been transferred to a St. Louis area hospital burn unit.

The house was also on fire. The West Frankfort Fire Department put out the fire at the home.

Christopher L. Rollins, 28, is accused of causing the burns on the woman.

Rollins was taken into custody a few hours later in the 700 block of north Horn St.

Methamphetamine making components were located inside of the home.

Rollins was taken to the Franklin County Jail an aggravated battery charge.
