BENTON, IL (KFVS) - The University of Illinois Extension will host their annual Ewing Demonstration Center Fall field day on Thursday, September 13 at 9 a.m.
The field day will be at the farm in Ewing, located north of the Ewing grade school on North Ewing Road (watch for signs).
According to the university, the ongoing research this year consisted of a Liberty Soybean plot, Soybean planting date trial, insecticide/fungicide trial on soybeans and wheat variety plot.
The topics to be discussed at the field day include:

Several acres of corn have been destroyed and erosion will be a potential problem, producers might look at cover crops and their advantages.
