WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - A city-wide clean up in West Frankfort will be Saturday, April 20.

Anyone wanting to participate in cleaning up the city should meet at the City Park at 9 a.m. and transportation will be arranged then.

Southern Ill. Christian Singles group to meet April 6

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - The Southern Illinois Christian Singles will have a potluck fellowship Saturday April 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the new ministry building, 228 East Main in West Frankfort, Ill.

To finalize plans for our upcoming Singles Retreat weekend, organizers ask those who can please bring a covered dish or dessert or paper goods and/or a good used item for our yard sale.

The event is open to any single, divorced or widowed person from southern Illinois and surrounding states. It is non-denominational, non-profit and informal. You can come as you are, with no dues or fees required.

1st Annual Senior Easter Egg Hunt in Benton rescheduled

BENTON, IL (KFVS) - The 1st Annual Senior Easter Egg Hunt by Addus Healthcare has been rescheduled.

The egg hunt will now be Thursday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at Benton City Park. It is being hosted by Addus Home Health, Addus Home Care and Addus Evergreen Club the Adult Day Center in both Marion and Mt. Vernon.

The 5KFVS Run/Walk will be May 18 in downtown Cape Girardeau, Mo.

This year, to celebrate the 5th year, we're adding a 12K!

Have you ran the 5KFVS, or even ran all five years? We want to see your photos from past events!

U of I Extension sponsors 4-H Summer Camp

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - According to University of Illinois Extension, the 4-H Memorial Camp in Monticello, Illinois is the perfect place for your child to experience the finest in summer camp life.

They have traditional and innovative programs, professional staff and comfortable facilities await campers at 4-H Memorial.

Summer youth camp is open to all youth ages 8-16 years. Following with the 4-H mission to foster positive youth development through a “learn-by-doing” philosophy, campers experience a five-day, four-night camp full of activities and learning. Swimming, boating, hiking, arts & crafts, fishing, singing, volleyball, softball, the list goes on and on!

Four summer youth camps will be operated June and July.
